![]() But then at the end, when I would had to save the profile, I got a message saying "Error encountered while calculating the profile" I had to leave the software (or try again, but that gave me the same result). But: my Colormunki Photo did all the measurements on screen (I adjusted the brightness, and I saw the brightness level on screen reacting my modifications. Recently I updated my Windows 7 machine to Windows 10 and nearly all went good. I'm new to this forum and live in Belgium. I use another Win 7 system with 195 apps that I use as my main daily system and not too eager to change over to the Win 10 system anytime soon. My Win 10 system is my experimental system, to evaluate and tweak hardware/apps to make them work correctly. Win 10 isn't perfect and has a long way to go, I'm sure you see all the updates that come out every few days. Try running the CM from Windows Safe mode, just to see if you get a more consistent detection?Įven though like you I built a dedicated Win 10 system, I also have another hard drive in it with Win 7 Ultimate (which also has Virtual Win XP mode installed) that I can boot from just in case something doesn't work correctly so I can use the Win 7, or Win XP, and go on my way. I am current with all my ASUS updates including the BIOS. I have zero problems with my long list of hardware and software running on Win 10 including Xrite's I1PRO, and older Pulse spectrometers and all their related software I have the same MB and running Win 10, and you need to update the drivers and possibly the BIOS.Īsus released a new USB driver on Jan. Providing a download with software from 2009.Really X-Rite? Make your customers happy! I want to remain a customer. Why is it that X-Rite can't just update the software. Obviously, there is an issue that X-Rite knows about since there is a service patch for Activation. I tried something like this but I'll give it another try later tonight with your instructions. Like I said I'm using Windows 8.1 but give it a shot it may work with Windows 10. Sometimes I would get the Dialog Box to Activate and sometimes I don't get that dialog box (I can't figure that one out). Close the "Welcome To Color Munkie Photo" dialog box. and a Black Screen will appear, just (X) it out. I will get the message "New Updates Detected" -> Click OK. I now plug in my Color Munkie USB cable to PC and click my Color Munkie Icon on my desktop. With nothing connected I click on the Color Munkie Fix Ver 1.1.1 that opens up to Color Munkie Photo Activation SP and install it. I had no problem with Windows 10 and this is the procedure I used with Windows 10 but I now use with Windows 8.1: I had windows 10 but I went back to Windows 8.1, I like it better. JSB, I don't know if I can help you but this is what I do. I guess if it ain't broke, don't fix it, although in my case I think it's broke. As a side note, I find it hard to believe that X-Rite still shows CM software from 2009 without any recent updates for newer operating systems. Anyone having similar problems installing CM on Windows 10. I am thinking about getting a powered USB hub and seeing if this solves the issue. I'm beginning to think (as suggested by X-Rite) that it may be a USB port issue (although every other USB device connected to the computer is working fine). I'm going around in circles trying to get this thing to work. I have also turned off and on CM services as directed by X-Rite but with no success. As directed by X-Rite tech support, I deleted a license file and then rebooted and installed the latest version of CM software (version 1.1.1). When the Activate button is pressed, immediately a dialog box appears saying a new version of CM software is available for download. Once this new software was installed, the activate button appeared and it now says the CM is connected. I contacted X-Rite and they sent me a link for a download to fix this problem. I have also tried different USB ports with the CM and they all don't work). ![]() (BTW, when I connect the CM to my USB port, I hear the OS ring indicating that a USB device has been connected. After installing the CM software (downloaded from the ColorMunki website), the "Activate" button is greyed out and a message that the CM is not connected appears. The computer is running fine, however, I can't get the ColorMunki to work properly. My new build is a complete fresh install (not an upgrade) of Windows 10 Pro on a new ASUS Z97-A /USB 3.1 motherboard. My ColorMunki Photo worked well with Windows XP, 7 and 8.
